6,000 rare fishes killed in China's bridge construction work

China has halted the construction of a bridge in Hubei province after it caused the death of more than 6,000 rare and endangered Chinese Sturgeon. The fishes were bred at an aquarium in Jingzhou and the shocks, noises and changes in water sources have caused their death. An investigation team found that the construction was illegal. 1,085 plants and animals are already declared endangered due to over-development in China.
