97% of MLAs elected in Karnataka elections are crorepatis

In light of the recent elections in Karnataka, a report by the Karnataka Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has stated that 215 of the 221 elected MLAs are crorepatis. 16 of them, have assets worth 100 crores in their name as well. The average assets per MLA is almost Rs. 34.59 crore, up from Rs. 23.54 crore in 2013. The richest MLA is M Nagaraju (INC) with assets worth Rs. 1015 crore.
