First ever case of Eye Worms found in woman

Abbey Beckley, a woman of 28, based in Oregon has become the first person affected by a tiny eyeworm that was previously found only in cattle. After tests her samples were sent off to US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, concluding that she had contracted Thelazia gulosa, a parasite that feeds on eyeball lubrication. Eye worms are found in dogs, cat and some other carnivores.
