According to a research, the top Indian android apps seek for 45% higher permissions from the user than their global counterparts. The report says, nearly one third of these permissions are not even required for the core functionality of those apps. The data collected by those apps mostly go to Google and Facebook. When a app seeks more permissions than required users often feel it as an invasion of privacy.
