Japan faces worst rainfall in years, flash floods destroy homes

Due to an occurrence of flash floods and landslides after a heavy downpour in Japan, the death toll has risen to 76. Worst affected areas are Hiroshima, Kyushu and Shikoku, with disaster warning being given in the two latter islands. 92 people are missing and 48,000 members of the self-defence forces, police and firefighters are trying to help affected people. Many people have had to flee their homes due to destruction.
