Over 35,000 indoor plants in IGI to combat air pollution

In an attempt to keep New Delhi’s IGI airport pollution free, nearly 35,000 indoor plants are being used that thrive indoors and keep the air clean. IGI airport sees more than 65 million passengers every year, and to keep the air purified, a mix of indoor species like cassia fistula, spider plants, snake plants, golden pothos, weeping fig, bamboo palm and other foliage and flowering trees are being used.
