Raspberry Pi wins MacRobert Award

The team behind a credit card-sized computer designed to enthuse schoolchildren about coding and now used across industry has been awarded one of Britain’s most prestigious engineering prizes. The Raspberry Pi was launched in 2012 as a low-cost educational tool and has gone on to sell more than 14m units worldwide. Its Cambridge-based creators received the MacRobert Award, run by the Royal Academy of Engineering.
