Temple decorated with $6.1k currency to celebrate Tamil New Year

In an amusing act, Bala Vinaynagar Temple in Chennai, capital of Tamil Nadu was decorated with currency notes worth Rs 4 lakh ($6134) on the occasion of Tamil New Year Puthandu. The column and pillars were also made of currency notes. It’s a fact where India’s 21.9% of the population still lives below the national poverty line, but the other hand, it doesn’t stop rich Indian for freely spending the money.
